The Importance of Checking the Engine Before a Long Trip

By | December 27, 2011

One of the things that we as a people tend to do is we tend to ignore the consequences of our actions.

We tend to look at what we do, see nothing change as a result, and conclude that what we’ve done didn’t matter, that it carried no consequence.

Take a car’s engine for example. We drive the things hundreds of thousands of miles. It doesn’t matter that we do it in 10 and 20 mile spurts of activity over the course of years – it still happens. But because we put those miles on so slowly, our reaction is to not put any thought towards the engine at all.

Now imagine if you will that you have a bigger trip coming up. Something substantial. Let’s say it’s a hundred miles. Let’s say it’s more.

You put that kind of wear and tear on an engine and it’s going to start to show its age a lot more quickly. And it’s situations like that which necessitate certain procedures.

It’s better, for instance, to check your engine before those trips. And we don’t necessarily mean taking the thing apart piece by piece, although that can be a fun thing to do on an afternoon.

We just mean making sure that all the fluids are topped off and refreshed, and that everything in the engine is burning as clean and strong as it needs to be. It’s better for your engine overall to get that kind of maintenance.

Its very important to google Engine and Transmission World and read all the customer complaints/reviews. This place is a nightmare. Don’t be their next victim, they will rip you off. All they sell is junk/scrap parts. Save yourself a lot of trouble and heartache and run away from EATW and never look back.
